Hey quick question. My entire life my parents have had these cacti which grow extremely rapidly. They started with one cutting and over the course of 25 years or so it's gone rampant. My parents have cactus cuttings all over the house. These 2 here are the most mature, and I've attached a few pictures.
I'm curious if it's at all possible to ID these cacti with the pictures? I don't plan on consuming them, so no worries--I don't need a super specific ID but just a general idea if you've got one. I understand with just pictures it can be difficult to ID anything.
A bit of background--my parents received the cactus from a friend as a wedding gift or something like that. He said he "obtained it by digging it up from the desert"--he's from Texas. I don't know the guy personally, but my parents say they vaguely remember him mentioning something about the legal status of the cactus being questionable. I'm pretty confident it's not San Pedro or Peruvian Torch or any kind of cacti containing any goodies, but I'm curious nonetheless.

But first, are you experienced?
