Considering HCl is stronger acid than acetic, if you used some dilute HCl water it should convert but then if you evap you'll still be left with a lot of impurities.
I think maybe best way would be to make paste with calcium hydroxide (dont know if sodium carb would be too weak) and bit of water, dry, pull with solvent and salt again.. Or if theres no calcium hydroxide, then redissolve in small amounts of water, add lye and pull again and salt again. Can someone else think of a shortcut?
