If you are doing a A/B and you want to do a defat (DCM) is it ok to do this after having salinated the solution?

Cyb recommends doing this before salination.

In this situation, the solution is already salinated.

Thanks.

The salt shouldn't hurt a de-fat. However, I would use a different solvent than DCM for it if you are looking for the best yield. DCM can pull DMT-salts (acetates specifically) out of the solution. Best to use a petroleum ether like naphtha or hexane for the de-fat.
