1-propionyl-LSD is unique, unlike the xxx-LAD series, which is LSD that has been demethylated at nitrogen 6 giving "nor-LSD", this nor-LSD can then be reacted with a number of things, all resulting in LSD with alkyl chains off of nitrogen 6. Then there's compounds like lysergic acid 2,4-dimethylazetidide (LSZ), these products are results of reacting lysergic acid with amines other than diethylamine, forming novel structures protruding from the C=O at position 8...
Then there's 1P-LSD, the propionyl grouping at position 1 is metabolized off quickly after ingestion, leaving the needed NH group of the pyrrole ring to give LSD. 1P-LSD is essentially a pro-drug of LSD, only 1P May have some initial activity before being metabolized into LSD...This all seems to be the case any way.
1P-LSD is modern ALD-52, ALD-52 is 1-acetyl-LSD, this acetyl grouping at position 1 is hydrolised in vivo to the needed NH grouping on the pyrrole ring needed to give LSD.
It's my fear that 1P will soon become scheduled as it grows in popularity, my only hope is that this compound remains out of the media, and doesn't spread to the point where people are seeking to have it scheduled...
