So I'm going through the vovin's tek currently and I've been wondering, if there is some experienced chemist, who'd assure me, if using sulfuric acid to clean my clogged buchner funnel off the MHRB would be the most effective way? It certainly does work, but it's rather tedious to dispose the acid afterwards, let alone how dangerous it is.

I've read on this forum that pulling some acetone through the funnel would be effective, but I've thought that acetone is primarely used to discard non-polar solvents. Which is true?
