Its just music and Hendrix was just another man who died. For some reason I got a connection with this guy. He has a limited amount of music I have listened to this guy over and over, other good songs I would have been sick of it a long time age. He was a pioneer of genuine art. His work seems charged with energy in my mind.

Trip with this Guy you will learn to love his music if nothing else or you may find a bit more, I have.

Hey MV, thanks a lot, I had a blast yesterday watching this hendrix documentary and another one straight after

I can also totally relate to him.. damn, he should have had some of us more reasonable people next to him to help him relax, say to the managers to fuck off, take a little break and enjoy psychedelics in nature, running away from all the vampires that were sucking his energy.. Too bad, too bad.. But even with so short life he already gave us so much, one can really spend a long time exploring and re-exploring his beautiful music from another dimension

Glad you enjoyed it. That is what this thread is all about. I cant listen to just on song I to watched the old doc after I posted it. I was having to much fun next thing I know the sun was arising. This is a common occurrence once I start listening to him.

His story is that of hunger, poverty and a broken family. According to his brother when his mother died his father did not allow him or his brother to attend the funeral, he told them to be strong and suck it up and forced the boys to take a few shots of Whiskey and be strong.

In spite of all this he taught himself to play his electric guitar even though he had no amp and no teacher other than the music he listened to. He was biracial and never really fit into either group. In spite of all this he rose to be one of the worlds best at what he considered his passion. His story is that of the underdog who shocked the world with his success wile never dwelling on the negative obstacles in his path at the same time focusing on what he enjoyed, playing his guitar. His life story is one that will always inspire me just as much as his music does.

He used psychedelics and seemed to understand all the positive aspects of these substances. Because of this ALL his music is truly charged with psychedelic inspiration and the empathy it evokes. I can relate to all of his songs and they are not vague in there meaning(to me at least) its almost like I read his mind effortlessly and enjoy his music simultaneously. In spite of his early death his story is one of humble success against all odds.

Journey to his music once you know him and he will be right there with you I have yet to run across a negative presence, thought, fear or what ever you want to call it, that he and his music can not neutralize.
